TreeList Help
documentation, which may be reviewed online
here,
describes the program's functionality in detail. In the descriptions
below, the words "hierarchy" and "TreeList" are used interchangeably.
TreeList Editor Capabilities:
Import tabular data (not already hierarchically arranged).
Drag-and-Drop with the mouse to create new hierarchical levels to any degree
of nesting.
Add nodes to and delete nodes from any positions in a hierarchy, with
explicit control of mouse positioning after node insertion.
Copy hierarchies into new TreeList tables.
Associate up to 225 columns of information with each node in a hierarchy.
(All nodes in a hierarchy have the same columns.)
Sort data, within each level, either ascending, or descending.
Search for text in all columns, and have the system automatically expand the
hierarchy where matching text is found.
Change hide and un-hide columns on the screen, and change their horizontal
order by drag-and drop.
Print hierarchies.
Draw hierarchy diagrams.
Export data to Microsoft Excel, csv files, and html files.
