There are four main functions that MineMatch performs:
It provides a standard framework and vocabulary for describing mineral deposits and mineral deposit models.
It provides special tools for the viewing and printing of these descriptions, as well as for copying the descriptions between different MineMatch users.
It provides routines for the automated comparison of mineral deposits with other mineral deposits, or with mineral deposit models.
It is able to automatically rank deposit comparisons based on similarity measures.
